How to Install Google Play APK 4.3.11

Below is a neat and noob proof guide for installing Google Play APK OR just about any APK.

1. Transfer the APK you downloaded to your phone. Both internal and external memory would work.
2. In order to install an app using its installation file in .apk format from phone’s sdcard or internal memory, you first need to enable that from settings. Here’s how:
   • Android 2.3 (and below) → Go to Settings » Application » check ‘Unknown Sources’ box.
     
   • Android 4.0 (and above) → Go to Settings » Security and check ‘Unknown Sources’ box.
     
3. You will need a file explorer to go to folder where you downloaded APK on phone or transferred it from PC. We would recommend the ES File Explorer File Manager app, however any file manager would do fine. Now, open the file explorer app and go to folder where you downloaded/transferred the Google Play Store APK file. (Btw, if you downloaded it on phone, it should be in Download folder)
4. Now, tap on the Google Play Store APK file – play.4.3.11 – to begin installation and you will be done in less than a minute
   

Note

This Google Play APK file will only work on devices which come pre-installed with Google Play Store. You cannot install it on a device that is not certified for Google Play Store.

Flashing Steps in CWM v6.0.3.0 recovery

1. Reboot Xperia S, SL, Acro S, Ion in recovery. On seeing Sony logo, keep pressing the “Volume Up” button. You will blue light blinked and the green light. Then phone boots in recovery.
2. To navigate use “Power Button” for selecting and “Volume up and down” button for scrolling up and down through list of options.
3. Choose option “Install zip from SD Card” > Navigate to your save zip file > Select it > Choose Yes install zip from SD card”. As soon as installing starts you will see log below. After it is finished, Choose “Go Back” and “Reboot system now”.

As soon as phone reboots normally, you will see the new android 4.2.2 Jell Bean Themes from Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Honami i1. It’s Done enjoy the new latest themes

A few days ago Android 4.2.2 14.1.B.0.471 firmware update for Xperia Z Ultra C6802 HSPA+ was rolled out over its last 14.1.B.0.461 version which came in stock. Well just now we spotted PTCRB listing another 14.1.B.1.493 firmware for Xperia Z Ultra C6802.

Dated 6 August 5 firmware updates are listed as 14.1.B.0.446, 14.1.B.0.450, 14.1.B.0.461, 14.1.B.0.471, 14.1.B.1.493 out of which 14.1.B.0.471 firmware has already been officially rolled as said above. Well above updates were listed as per ECO ( Engineering Change Order ) request.

Xperia Z Ultra C6802 as present misses the type of UI as shown during it’s launch, even the X-Reality for mobile is also missing from display settings and Bravia Engine 2 appears at it’s place. It is being expected that this new 14.1.B.1.493 firmware will bring X-Reality ( Still as Speculation only ) to Xperia Z Ultra C6802 and soon we can expect the 14.1.B.1.493 firmware to be rolled out

Talking of firmware updates Sony is releasing them too fast now, in previous two days we have seen Sony rolling 4.2.2 10.3.1.A.0.244 firmware update for Xperia Z, ZL and ZR. Though Xperia ZR got it’s first android 4.2.2 update.

Just now we have seen Xperia Z C6802 HSPA+ version has received an Android 4.2.2 14.1.B.0.471 firmware update over its previous 14.1.B.0.461 firmware version. It is the first update for Xperia Z Ultra.
